What is S.W.A.T.?

S.W.A.T. (Support, Waterfront and Activities Team)

This is a dynamic position of hands on ministry that supports both our summer camp program and retreat ministries.  A life-guarding certification is required, and individuals will receive American Red Cross training at no cost if they are not certified.  In additions to serving as lifeguards, SWAT will be hands on in leading exciting activities such as paintball, low ropes course, ski boat, climbing wall, archery, hayrides, and others (training will be provided).  Other support roles include retreat preparation and hosting and work projects.  Team members will be challenged to live out their faith in real ways by serving, living in community, and being apart of a Bible study.  First year compensation is $210 per week. SWAT will be accountable to the Guest Service Director.

Activities (What am I going to be doing?)

     Our SWAT members are not only lifeguards but also facilitate most of the activities that guest groups do when they are here.  Many of our activities require a certification or training to facilitate.  We will give you the tools and information to be able to confidently facilitate those activities. 

Here is a short list of activities you may be trained in

- Archery

- Paintball

- High Ropes Course

- Climbing Wall

- Archery Tag (Yup, shooting arrows at people)

- Nature Center

- Banana Boat  - Driver and spotter

- Wagon Rides / Trolley Rides

- And many More!
